Ecoweal's 30-FOR-30 awareness series tackled the disproportionate impact of floods on women, children and marginalised communities. Over 30 days, experts from diverse sectors - ICT, policy, art, disaster risk reduction, and more - shared key solutions to address the effects of floods on vulnerable populations, including gender-based violence, mental health, health, and other critical issues. This groundbreaking project laid the foundation for many of Ecoweal's initiatives, driving meaningful change and promoting resilience in flood-affected communities.
The purpose of this campaign is to shed light on the experiences faced by children during and after flooding through narratives and stories, aiming to raise awareness and drive support for affected children.
Ecoweal's Flood Smart project is an innovative initiative designed to educate children about flood risk and empower them to become change actors in their communities. Through this project, Ecoweal is shifting the narrative from vulnerability to resilience. The aim is to equip children with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to mitigate the impacts of flooding.
